Some provide health restoration and others give clues on how to progress the game. Scattered throughout the various lands are hermits that Rygar can visit. The player can travel to different lands while powering up his character. Rygar for the NES is part side-scrolling, part top-view perspective platformer/RPG game. Rygar uses his famous Diskarmor to battle his enemies across land and air. A legendary warrior from the land of Algosu, Rygar, has risen from his grave to stop the evils from taking over the land and to restore peace and justice.
